4th of july sprinkle popcorn

To call this a recipe is giving myself too much credit, especially since it's been done a million times before.

But...
it's festive and it's fun and my littles get a kick out of sprinkles on pretty much anything {who am I kidding...I do too.}

To make it, you'll need:

1/2 cup or so unpopped popcorn
about half a bag of white Wilton candy melts {buy them at the craft store}
salt {teeny salt shaker project details here}
sprinkles

Then all you have to do is:

pop the popcorn {I always make ours on the stove} and sprinkle it lightly with salt
melt the candy in the microwave {our microwave usually takes about a minute at 50% power}
pour the melted candy over the popcorn and toss to coat
spread the melty mixture on a sheet of wax paper and sprinkle away!

diy dad donuts for father's day

As a fun treat for dessert tonight we made Father's Day dad donuts.

We used the same super easy cheater donut recipe that I've shared before, only this time using alphabet cookie cutters to spell out dad instead of hearts. {Similar cutter set available here.}

The glaze is just a simple combo of about 1/2 cup powdered sugar, splash of whole milk, and a bit of vanilla extract plus a rainbow of paste food coloring.

Happy Father's Day to all the dads of the world!  Enjoy your weekend!!

feeling like summer

This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Lipton, but all my opinions are my own. #bemoretea #pmedia  http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV

We have just a few days left of school and we're officially on summer vacation.
My little sidekick and I have been starting the summer spirit a little early though. :)

Because nothing says summer to me like the smell of suntan lotion and the taste of iced tea...

And now that we have a Keurig, making glasses of iced tea is even easier.

Lipton K-Cups make perfect glasses of tea over ice in just a few minutes.

...place a cup under your brewer filled with ice
...insert Lipton Brew Over Ice K-Cup packs and brew on 6-oz. or 8-oz. setting
...stir it up and sip away!

Sister and I get the day started early...she plays in our sandbox and I sit and relax with a glass of my fave iced tea lemonade.

Maybe I could teach her to make it for me while I spend a few extra minutes in bed? Ha!

Is there any other way to drink iced tea than in a mason jar?? :)

Lipton K-Cups can be purchased in stores and online at nationwide retailers where available.
And be sure to check out Lipton on facebook and twitter, too!

Lipton Iced Tea K-Cup packs come in three varieties:

Tea Lemonade Iced Tea - Enjoy the perfect taste of summer all year long with this

Classic Unsweetened Iced Tea - This tea is the classic, unsweetened fresh brew Lipton

Refresh Sweet Tea - This crisp and refreshing iced sweet tea is made of fresh pressed
refreshing new iced tea from Lipton. Made with love, so it tastes like homemade iced tea you love, now in K-Cup packs! Perfect with meals, or anytime you want a great tasting glass of iced tea, tea leaves, and sweetened with cane sugar and stevia.
