glittered pine cones and teacher gifts

By now everyone knows just how much I love putting together boxes full of goodies to gift.  Here's a little peek at what I put together for the boys' teachers as Christmas gifts.

Glittering the pine cones is as simple as it looks...my preschooler did most of the work.  Just partially dip each pine cone in some sort of glue {I had to stop and make mine in two batches...I used Mod Podge and Martha's decoupage finish} and then sprinkle them with fine glitter.

I like the look of just a hint of glitter, but if you like them all blingy, go crazy and coat those bad boys in more sparkle!

Then the hard part is waiting for them to dry...

If you're wondering about sources...

coffee is Starbucks
chocolate bar is Trader Joe's
mug is Anthropologie
cards are Mara Mi

I tied the boxes in fluffy aqua yarn and red twine and then hot glued the pine cones to the twine...and slipped a Christmas card underneath.  So easy!

And if you are in need of some glitter...or hot glue...or some pine cones...or anything else crafty for that matter!...here's a JoAnn coupon that's good for the month of December.

Merry merry friends!!
