diy: spider topped halloween candy jars

I have a thing about jars topped with tiny trinkets.

For holidays.
For the everyday.
They're just fun.

Of course I had to try a Halloween version.

And just my luck JoAnn  put out a challenge for bloggers with the theme spooky spaces...spiders are totally spooky, right?? :)

So I shopped my embarassingly huge so please don't call Hoarders reasonably sized collection of saved jars and picked a good mix of sizes.

Everything else...plastic spiders, craft paint, glue...can be found at JoAnn.

Candy is from the grocery store. ;)

Making these is pretty straightforward...and I've explained before...but as a quick refresher...

Prime.
Paint.
Glue.

So easy!

When I've made these before I've always used spray paint.

This time I used Martha's craft paint because of all the different super cool finishes.

I think the glitter and metallic are perfect for Halloween!

Now if you're ready to get your Halloween craft on too, search the hashtag #spookyspaces and find more ideas other bloggers have come up with.

And of course the JoAnn Creativity Made Simple page has lots of ideas too!

Plus here's a 50% coupon to help you shop for any supplies you might need to create your own spooky spaces!
