back to school shopping

Post and giveaway sponsored by OshKosh B’gosh. All opinions are my own.  Thanks for reading!

For me, buying fresh school supplies and back to school clothes are some of the only things that make summer ending and school starting bearable.

And I don't know if it's been the crazy cool weather we've had all summer or just the number of commitments we've had, but this summer has flown by.
Two weeks left.
Ahhh!
....I'm so not one of those moms that are happy when their littles are out of the house during the day!!

But like it or not, it's time for me to think about buying supplies and clothes for the new school year.
I've teamed up with OshKosh B'gosh for their back to school campaign and to host a giveaway for a $100 gift card to a lucky reader!

I know I've mentioned before that my boys wear uniforms to school, so that takes off a lot of the pressure out of choosing new outfits...and it eliminates {a teeny, tiny bit} of the chaos of getting dressed in the morning before school.

For the few years I've been buying school uniforms, I've been buying OshKosh B'gosh.  I think it's just a name everyone's heard of and trusts...and I swear I can even remember having little OshKosh B'gosh overalls myself!  {Mom...back me up with a picture of this??}

...But we work hard and we play hard in this house.
The boys need clothes that they can run/jump/climb/wrestle each other in after school, on weekends, for parties, and activities...

Their jeans are durable with their reinforced seams {and denim goes with everything, right! :)}...but more importantly for us, they have adjustable sizing.
My boys are so much taller than they are wide...and ever since they ditched diapers their waists are even tinier... so it's a big help for them if I can adjust the waist without a belt {belt = potty disasters!} so they can easily dress themselves.

And right now jeans are on sale for back to school...a doorbuster sale even...and the ones I got for the boys were only 12 bucks...some styles are even $10. Score!

But {sniff, sniff} my boys are big now and aren't crazy about the idea of those little overalls I remember.
They want what's more stylish, like the bigger kids wear.
They're big enough to have opinions on what they want to wear {more sniff, sniff}.

Luckily, graphic tees are also a really great deal during the back to school sale.
And the graphic tees that OshKosh B'gosh has are, well...nice boys' tees.
With nice sayings on them...not the...hmmm...crass ones that I sometimes see...and with fun designs like owls and camping themes.

So I stocked up on a bunch for the boys for $7 and $8 a piece.
I love that they're all 100% cotton...so they're perfect for the crazy cooler weather we've been having this summer...but will also be good layering pieces later in the season.

And now we're all set on clothes for a while...and getting a big box of new clothes in the mail takes a tiny bit of the edge off of summer ending and my babies leaving me for school!!
If you don't want to shop online like me, check out the store locator that'll help you find your nearest store.
I know I showed the boys in their new tees, but of course there are plenty of darling things for Sister...and for the girls' tees too!

Oh! I almost forgot...as part of my partnership with OshKosh B'gosh I'm also going to host a little back to school party.
Details soon! :)
xoxo

  1. I have three grandsons in school and I always buy them an outfit to start school in... that is how I would spend my gift card if I am lucky enough to win!

  2. Two of my three kiddos wear uniforms too, and I remember that first year of school I thought we would barely need anything else....until Fall weather hit and they had almost nothing to wear on the other days! So that gift card could definitely come in handy. I could even get little brother a few new things to go with all of his hand me downs. :)
