I'll confess.  Instagram is making me a lazy lazier blogger.
It's just so easy to snap a quick iphone pic instead of actually sitting down and blogging details about projects.
Lazy.
So my projects sit trapped on a memory card and words about them trapped in my head for now.

Anywho, along with the laundry and dishes, I have loads of unanswered emails/facebook messages/comments piling up.
Some are specific, some are general...but here are some of the questions I've gotten more than once.

How has your gumdrop wreath held up?
Really, really well.
When I made it, I was sure to give it a liberal coating of sealer, and even after all these years, it still looks like it did the day I made it.
And for the record, I've always hung it inside, out of direct sunlight.  When I store it, I wrap it in tissue and keep it in a Rubbermaid container in the basement.

How has your no-sew roman shade held up?
Not quite as well as the gumdrop wreath.

After about 2 years the glue started to deteriorate on the edges.  The shade was still totally functional and looked okay.  But then the boys started trying to open and close the shade themselves, so the cord got tangled and I just gave up.

I made the new curtain with an Ikea panel and some yellow pom pom trim.  I like that it lets in a lot more light...and I was ready for a change anyway. :)

As a disclaimer...our kitchen door gets full sun, morning til night, 365 days a year...I'm sure the same shade on a window that only gets partial sun would hold up better...probably for a really, really long time.

Where did you get your tin back splash?  Did you install it yourself?
We ordered it online from this company about 4 years ago.  I think this is the pattern??
We did not install it ourselves.  I'm sure if you're comfortable cutting the tin, it would  probably be an easy DIY project.

Where is your kitchen tile from?
We bought it from a local dealer.  I can't find a link on their site, but Overstock.com also sells it here.

Where did you get your bathroom tile?
Same local dealer as the kitchen tile.

Where did you find the boys' firehouse?
Santa got it at Costco 3 or 4 years ago.  I think it's made by Kid Kraft.  If you're a Costco shopper, keep an eye out, as I've seen them around Christmastime every year since.

What is your magnet board?
It's an oil drip pan I bought at Walmart.  I got the idea here.  And Corey...if you're reading...please come back to blogging!  We miss your beautiful pictures!

How do you use your bounce flash?
I'm still waaaay too unfamiliar with it to give any good advice.

I like experimenting and figuring things out, so for now, I just keep playing with the positioning of the flash until I like the result and snap away.  That's working for me. :)
