Anthro hack: Mason jar snow globes


Here's a short and sweet project for naptime today.


Collect a few mason jars from your cabinet and some tiny trees and white glitter from the craft store.


Arrange the trees on the lids and glue down.


Fill jars with water and snow. 



Screw the lids on tightly and enjoy the snowy goodness. 


Be proud you didn't just spend $93 at Anthro on something you just made in 15 minutes and for less than 10 bucks.

    Oh my goodness!! I can not believe someone would pay for those when you can make them yourself. $38 each??? I should get in on that racket.

    Is that a Martha Stewart jar in one of your pictures? Did you use her white glitter flakes? I have a lot of that and was going to use them in my jars. Just trying to find some glycerin for the water that isn't super expensive.

    my sister just took a picture of the very same thing last week. she was appalled at the price and said we needed to make our own. great minds think alike! i thought epson salt might also look nice.

    I love this! My kids are obsessed with snow globes. How much fun to make them ourselves. So, the glitter actually works in the water? would love to add little snowmen as well. I think i have to head to Michael's.

    Make sure you only use glass or plastic beads. The water will turn color and the paper beads will disintegrate.
