Yes, I do have a dresser in my dining room
Hi there.
Remember my $5 thrift store treasure? Well, here she is, as good as new, sitting pretty in my dining room.
Remember my $5 thrift store treasure? Well, here she is, as good as new, sitting pretty in my dining room.
I knew I wanted clear knobs from one of my favorite stores, but couldn't decide which ones. So I bought one of each! (Yes, I'm blonde. I came home with 7 knobs instead of 8. Bummer.)
The paint is Sherwin Williams Icelandic. It's the palest blue...love it!
It's absolutely beautiful! I love the idea of using different knobs. You're my daily inspiration to be more creative :)
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful this looks! I love the lamp too. Your blog is awesome!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, ~Melissa :)
I've been wanting to put a dresser in the eating area of our kitchen. Haven't found the right one just yet. Yours looks wonderful!

You did a wonderful job and what a bargain to treasure for $5.00!! I love it when that happens!!! So pretty, enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteNothing makes me smile like white furniture! I love the wire basket of oranges and mason jar of flowers on top. So fresh and summery!
ReplyDeleteNiiice! I did laugh a little because you were short a knob. I love the flowers in the mason jar...that is one of my favorite things.
ReplyDeleteAdorable...and I love the knob story. Your blog header is one of my favorites...so cheery and beautiful. I need to learn how to make one for mine! :)

So cute! Love the knobs
ReplyDeleteLove it!! I am always impressed with people who can buy pieces of furniture for 5 dollars and make them look like a million bucks!!
ReplyDeleteI think that's a great piece for a dining room. It's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWow! It turned out great. I love the color. I love the knobs. Are you going to keep them all different (well, except for the white one ;o)? I think I would like having the clear ones different. Kind of an expected little something. I love using dressers and chest-of-drawers all over the house. I even have one in my master bathroom!
ReplyDeleteGreat job. Thanks for sharing!
It's gorgeous! My daughter just picked up a dresser from our local thrift store and my husband is in the process of refinishing it. I love that you used random knobs on yours...will pass that idea along to my daughter!
ReplyDeleteLovely Cheryl. I like the eclectic mix on the top!
ReplyDeleteGood work! I love the differing knobs. I'm impressed.
ReplyDeleteooh I love it!! I love the different knobs too. lovely x
ReplyDeletegorgeous! for a $5 thrift store find, I'd say you did a great job of transforming it! and I love that all the knobs aren't the same!
ReplyDeleteI have a dresser in my dining room, too! But mine's more like a sideboard.
ReplyDelete7 knobs cracks me up!

ReplyDeleteI have a similar piece in my family room, I think it looks great, LOVE the knobs!
ReplyDeleteSo nice! I bought a dresser for our hall a couple of weeks ago and my husband is feeling like it's weird to have a dresser not in a bedroom... thanks for the affirmation that it's o.k.! I love the barely blue with your green walls... absolutely perfect!
ReplyDeletelove this! and the knobs are beautiful. I really want to find some fun furniture to fix up this summer. :)
ReplyDeleteWow! What a transformation! I LOVE it!

Beautiful dresser. I love the detailing on the bottom. I just read your post that says you're from Chicago. I am, too! If you're ever in the Bartlett area there's the neatest store called Banbury Fair. It's in an old house and they have the neatest old furniture that's been refurbished scattered throughout the store. I was just in there today and saw the glass knobs you put on your dresser for $3! They have rabbits out back for the kids to see, plants to buy, an ice cream shop. It's so much fun. I think you'd like it.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the dresser! Too funny about the knobs. :)
ReplyDeleteI have an old dresser in my dining room, too! Nothing is better for storing linens and stuff. I LOVE the mismatched knobs. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a deal! 5.00 well spent! Beautiful color selection too!
ReplyDeleteLove your dresser! Quick question...how much paint did you use/buy? I'm going to try refinishing a piece of furniture for the first time...
ReplyDeleteHi! What program did you use to create your header on your blog? I love it!
