Seashell Wreath

This seashell wreath was my SYTYC submission for a "summertime" craft.

This is not a difficult project at all, just a little time consuming.  Grab a wreath form, seashells, some ribbon and fire up your glue gun.

Start by wrapping the wreath in ribbon.  I made a wire hanger to hang it. I didn't take a picture, but I did it the same way I showed here.  Don't scrimp...shells are even heavier than gumdrops!

Then glue, glue, glue, making sure to alternate the direction of the shells.

And there you go...a perfect wreath to celebrate summer!

  38. I lie the seashell wreath the best. It is so pretty. I wish I had one, but here in the middle of Texas it would cost a fortune to get all the petty shells

  40. What glue did you use? I find that hot glue doesn't work on shells and gorilla glue is a nightmare to work with as it expands and ruins the project. E6000 isn't bad but takes so long to dry. So what is your secret??

  41. I think putting several really beautiful seashells on a vine wreath would look beautiful. The vine wreath will look similar to driftwood. I would probably put something very natural at the bottom where I would normally put a bow.
