Vintage pom pom pillow
Don't pom poms just make you so happy?
Me too.
No one ever officially taught me how to sew fringe on a pillow, but this is what I do:
Set my needle position all the way left. (Silly that to set it to the left, I move the lever right, but whatever.)
And then I sew the pom poms (facing in, towards the center) to the right side of my fabric.
Then I go ahead and make my pillow as usual.
Happy pom pom-ing!
Cute! Thanks for the sewing tips...now if only I could get my bobbin working right. I'm off to read the manual...yuck! :)
ReplyDeleteThat pompom trim added SO much to the pillowcase. Gorg!
ReplyDeleteOh, I wish I could sew. You do such a great job. How about coming to Iowa and giving me some lessons? Ha, Ha. My mother gave me a new sewing machine right before she died. I think it just brings back memories so I've never opened it. I've had it since 2002 so I think its been long enough. I may just have to brave it and give it a spin. Thanks for all your inspiration. I've followed your blog in awe!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great!!
ReplyDeleteYou have the best ideas and Yes! Pom poms make me so happy and so does your blog. How was that for a run-on sentence? I got all excited. :)
ReplyDeleteI wonder who invented the very first pom pom? Hmmmm. Must go in search of information.
