Pretty alternative to ribbon
Ever since I got this bad boy for Christmas, I've been serging anything standing still.
So while I was working on some pillowcases last night, I started in on some long strips of scraps. I'm so glad I did...I discovered a fun alternative to ribbon to dress things up.
This is adorable Cheryl!

ReplyDeleteMan I love my serger! Have you tried making a rolled hem yet?
ReplyDeleteSimply adorable...such a great touch. I can't wait to start sewing...my class was cancelled AGAIN yesterday. I'm about to just whip it out and try to teach myself! I love the towels/napkins too!

Ohhh, that's COOL!! I'm thinking this is a good idea for all the fabric remnants that I inherit but don't have a good project in mind for. Strip em, serge em, and wrap em around presents!
ReplyDeleteI blogged about your fabric ribbon over at Craft Gossip Sewing:

ReplyDeleteman, i wish I could sew! that is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteLovely!!!! :) Is a serger much harder to use than a regular sewing machine, if you're just doing straight lines? I'm pretty good at straight lines. ;)
