New life
I have another very exciting project I'm about to start on.
This package arrived for me in the mail today. Ally, from High Heels and Aprons, contacted me a few weeks ago and told me she had gotten her hands on a couple of her grandma's old aprons.
Look at that vintage fabric! I love it!
They are a very unique, vest style of apron. So as special as they are, they're not something Ally thought she'd ever wear. (And it certainly wouldn't be fair to leave these tucked away in a drawer.)
Look at those awesome vintage buttons!
So here's where I come in.
I'm going to take Ally's grandma's well-loved...
and well-worn aprons...
and make them into something beautiful and special that she will be able to enjoy for years, just like her grandma. Imagine all the delicious meals and family memories that were made while those aprons were being worn!
So I've got to say I'm very excited to do this and can't wait to share my re-vamped aprons.
Thanks, Ally, for the opportunity!
What a precious gift you will be giving, by bringing new life to those old aprons. :o)
ReplyDeleteThat is so great! You are making something she will treasure for years.

Oh how fun! I can't wait to see. I have some of my great grandmother's aprons, and they look very similarly "loved" around the edges. I'm afraid to wash them, for fear they'd fall to pieces. How neat that you are going to rework them for her.
ReplyDeleteoh how sweet is that?
ReplyDeleteI am so grateful to have found someone as talented as you! I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THEM WHEN YOU'RE FINISHED!!

ReplyDeleteHow nice of you, Cheryl! Can't wait to see how you transform those vintage lovelies. I'm sure whatever you do, it will be fabulous.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you are going to do. I am sure it will be something that she will love. Jackie
