Alphabet beanbags
I got the idea here, but changed a couple things like the size and my own stencils. They were fun and easy to make...my favorite kind of project.
And you know a project was a good one when even your scraps are pretty. How much of a freak am I that I stood and looked at these debating whether or not I should throw them out?
I just found your site and I LOVE it! It is a new favorite. I'm going to make these cute bean bags for my little girl!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea!! I totally want to make these!! (Love little blue boo!!)
ReplyDeleteI have two bags of dried beans. And some scrap material (not as small as your scraps LOL). I should get some puff paint and make my own version (or some iron on letters). :)
ReplyDeleteSuper cute. I love all the fun colors!

The fabric is darling and these turned out great! How fun!
ReplyDeleteLove them! I think I feel a project coming on:) It's nap time here which means mommy can sew in peace:) My daughter might just wake up to some of these!
ReplyDeleteLove your site! I am so going to make these for my kids!!!
ReplyDeleteHaha...I can relate. I hate throwing the left-over's away. The beanbags look great! :o)
ReplyDeleteThose are so cute!
ReplyDeleteHow fun.

I've seen those around the net before. I really need to make some. My dad would be sad to know that the machine he got me two years ago hasn't sewn much. Guess it's time to bust it out. This project seems easy enough. Did you use the same measurements as the other blogger?
ReplyDeleteVery cute! So sweet.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
any chance an extra set(s) will be made and up for sale on your Etsy site??? If so, I will be the first in line!
ReplyDeleteThese are very pretty! It's so colorful over here ~ I love it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute and colorful idea. You can even have the children spell simple words with the different lettered bags, like through each letter in order (C-A-T). :o) When I homeschooled our children we would sometimes take our spelling tests outdoors with sidewalk chalk. :o)

Love your blog.

ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous project. I could see this being a great way to get my seven year old to practice his spelling words... hum, now that's a thought! Thanks again!!!

ReplyDeleteThose are really cute :) I might have to try those for my DD.
ReplyDeleteVERY cute! LOVE all the fun colors!
ReplyDeleteThese are so cute! And you're not a freak--I would have pondered saving the scraps too, for card making.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome my dear! I love these!

Thanks for a great tute!
Those are awesome! I love them :)
ReplyDeleteI love it! These are adorable! I am so making these tonight!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute (as is everything I've seen on your site!) I do just want to mention, using beans as a filler can be an ugly mess if those beans get wet--think sprouts =( I always used unpopped popcorn when I fill beanbags, potential sprout problems avoided!!
ReplyDeleteawww I can never throw away scraps! I do use corners to make bunting on cards though, glue them on and draw the thread and around them with a marker!
ReplyDeleteFinally made these... so fun. Linked back: http://acraftyescape.blogspot.com/2010/07/number-beanbags.html
