I hit the thrifty jackpot

And I didn't even know it! Remember the two bowls I bought at the thrift store yesterday? I knew I loved them, but I didn't know why. (I've really been looking for a bigger version of the two.)

Well, thanks to a comment from Lissa, I realized why I am so in love with them. I did some research and found out they're sold at my beloved Williams Sonoma...for $30 a piece! Not bad for the $1.50 I spent on each of them.

As for the big bowl, I think it must be the bottom half of the soup tureen I have in mind. How thrilling it will be to find that $139 beauty at a thrift store price!

And this is why I so adore the bloggy world...so many friends to share great information!

  1. I just got something like that, smaller though, at Homegoods! I keep it on my nightstand.

  4. How cool is that?! I think it somehow makes the find even better when you know you saved so much money, ya know? I hit the jackpot last weekend when I found an Ikea drawer organizer for $1.49 and a Pottery Barn chair slipcover for $2.00...gotta love it when you can find buys like that!!!

    Have a wonderful weekend!
