I do (love this!)

One of my favorite pieces of "art" around the house is the wedding invitation I had matted and framed.

It's sweet, sentimental, and it was a super easy project. I bought an 8x10 frame at Michael's (naturally I used my 40% off coupon) and then chose a pretty sage green mat. The girl at the framing counter even did it for me right then and there while I waited.

I love it as a special little gift, too. Since my sister claims she doesn't read my blog, I can safely say she'll be getting one when she gets married in October!

  1. That is such a sweet idea for wedding invitations. You go to all that work to send something that reflect you as a couple and what your big day will entail, and then you stuff it in an album and never look at it! I might have to try that!

  2. I love it. I framed ours too! I keep every invitation we are sent. I feel bad throwing them away ;) Yes I am a pack rat.

  3. That's a good idea. Maybe that's something I could do for our anniversary this year...
Someone had flowers put around my parents in like a shadow box-type frame. It's so cool.

  6. thanks for stopping by my blog. i had our wedding invite framed too, for like our first few years of marriage. then i needed it for another picture. it sits in a box with all the reply/regret cards now. you have inspired me to get it out and frame it for our 10th anniversary. i might even have to copy that green or find robin's egg blue. take care.

  12. Hi, Cheryl, I don't think I've been by your blog before! Very pretty, came over from Kimba's. Your kitchen makeover is just beautiful. I just did a little mini-makeover in my kitchen with granite & love seeing what others have done. Love your white cabs. with all the glass doors. I heard the same thing about black granite & decided against it,so glad I did now.

Stop by & visit me sometime, I think you'd like my blog too!

  13. Well, that does it, now I MUST frame our wedding invitation.. I've thought about it for years.. and even looked at them recently while going through a box of our wedding bits and pieces. Part of my hesitation has been that ours folded up, and I don't want to lose the look of it... I'm going to have to think about this... I really like how you did yours... :)
